Our town held it's Independence Day parade on Saturday and we have attended ever since we have lived here! It is a fun tradition :)

We usually get there early, but this year we were slow moving, so we weren't in a whole lot of shade. The kids didn't seem to mind though.
(especially when the parade people threw out candy)
Adelaide was quite skilled at waving to all the people in the parade :)
Trying to keep cool and not get sunburned
This person was kind of neat….and a little creepy looking.
Adelaide waving at the dog in the basket :)
This miniature pony was adorable!
After the parade, we headed over to Grace Roots farm for a hayride.
It was Lydia's first time on a hayride. She seemed to enjoy it.
After the hayride, they gave us freeze pops to cool off. They also had a mister in the canopy they set up which was lovely on such a hot day!
Enjoying the mist and the shade
Caleb had found a fun, new burger recipe so we went home to test it out.
It was bacon wrapped stuffed burger.
Cannon was showing us how big of a bite he would take out of the burgers haha

We stuffed them with peppers (grown from our garden!) and cheese and put bbq sauce on top.
Mmmm!

While the burgers were cooking, I was priming and painting this baby! We have had it for about 5 years and I am finally getting around to painting it! Update to come!

After the burgers cooked, we devoured them. They were SO GOOD!
We are already thinking of other things to stuff them with.
Seriously though.
These were amazing.
Happy Independence Day Eve!

It looked like you all had so much fun!!!!!! The burger, however, made me not too certain...my tummy could handle all of it...smile LOVED all the pictures!!!!!! smile
