The week of Father's Day and my birthday are always super busy and filled with lots of things to do.
This year was Fix It for Christ, which is a great organization consisting of many different churches. We fix up/repair different homes around our community. It is a fabulous experience.
Caleb volunteered on Thursday and then took Friday off of work, and then we both volunteered on Saturday (it was really fun!)
Friday was our play day :)
One of our favorite museums had a new exhibit. We were going to go the weekend it opened, but we went camping instead! The exhibit was really interactive and the kids had a blast!
Part of the Dino exhibit was an interactive maze. At each cross road, that had a question and if you answered right, then you went further into the maze. If you answered wrong, you reached a dead end.
It was really well done. At the first spot, they taught you what classified as a dinosaur and what is not a dinosaur. I can't remember what it said….. haha
Something to do with push ups.
The next stop was where you could walk like a dino and make dino foot prints.
It was the coolest part! It was memory foam covered in fabric. You stood on these huge dino shaped feet and held the rope as you walked. You could look back and because of the memory foam, you could see your footprint.
This was the kids favorite part.
Another part of the maze that I got a video and no pictures was learning to fly like a dino! They had a sort of zipline thing that you could glide on. It was so cute!
We made it through the maze and headed down toward another part of the museum.
Clearly, when you are at a dino museum that has footprints on the ground, you have to walk like a dino.
:)
Riding a baby dino!
Digging for fossils!
She was enjoying herself
:)
Enjoying a puppet show by Daddy
Getting comfy in the nest.
Someone else was getting comfy, too. haha
My crew :)
We also did some rock climbing…
Adelaide is quite a little climber.
We can't leave this museum without taking our picture with the baby giraffe and seeing how much we have grown :)
Oh, her smiles!!!
Funny story.
Lydia spit up on Caleb's head.
Looked like bird poop.
hahaha!!!
……….maybe you had to be there to find it as funny as I did :)
Back to make footprints!
Father's Day was pretty chill. Caleb didn't have any meetings and I didn't have choir and church didn't start until 1, so it was a nice family morning.
Well, that's all for now!
