Cannon and cannons

9.5.14

After visiting Fort Frederica, we made our way down to St. Augustine.

I was loving the scenery along our route.

And, to my surprise, more bridges!!

When we got to Castillo de San Marcos, we went straight up to the top of the fort!
Here is Cannon pointing out all the boats on the water.
just 10 days shy of turning 2.

 We got there in time for the firing of the cannon demonstration. It was pretty exciting!

They told us to cover our ears because it was so loud. Cannon did a great job at that!

Found some shelter to escape the heat for a moment!

We didn't realize how amazing we were at planning, until we read this about how Fort Frederica (which was where we just came from) fit into the history of Castillo de San Marcos!

We thought it was pretty neat!

 After visiting Castillo de San Marcos, we headed out to explore the city of St. Augustine!
