Cannon is One!

Wednesday, September 25, we celebrated Cannon's first birthday. We decided to keep it pretty low key, so we just had a small family party that night. We let him open up one present right when he woke up. It was so cute! I thought he would be really excited to rip up the wrapping paper, but he didn't really know what to do with it. He loves books so when he found out his present was a book he did his "ooohhh" noise. It was precious!

 Now on to the celebration!

We had broccoli casserole for dinner, which is one of Cannon's favorites. 

Then we broke out the cupcakes! 

Earlier that day, we met Caleb for lunch and went and bought Cannon our gift to him. It is the little stuffed dog in the picture below. Cannon LOVES dogs. He was so excited to take it home with him. He kept hugging it and saying, "woof, woof!"

He wasn't quite sure what to make of the candle, but he definitely knew what to do when we gave him the cupcake! He was all about the icing and the ice cream that he got after. 

It was a great day! I am so grateful for this sweet little boy! He brings so much joy and laughter into our home. What a blessing it is to be his mommy!
